“Hey man you got to slow down.”
Those words stuck with me after a sermon Sunday in which the priest relayed a story about another priest who ordered a pizza after a busy day, paid for the pizza and began to leave without it.
“Hey man you got to slow down,” the pizza man told the priest.
The message is appropriate for this holiday season.
With power shopping, present wrapping, cooking, cleaning and all the other tasks that overwhelm us this time of year, it’s easy to forgot about why we do it.
For many it is the time to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Christ and sharing that preparation and celebration with friends and families.
So – hey slow down and remember why you are doing it.
